I can't believe the year is already coming to an end. I know people say this all the time, but it feels like the year just flew by. Life changed dramatically; we lost and gained people, we grew up, and we experienced new things. I look forward to what 2015 has to offer.
Anyway, in case you were wondering, since my last blog post I celebrated my first actual Halloween and Thanksgiving, saw snow for the first time, and witnessed my first sub-zero temperature (if that made any sense). I don't think I would have experienced any of the things mentioned before if I hadn't taken a chance and
gone to America.
Also, I can't believe I'm saying this but travelling is no longer as enjoyable as it used to be. I've gotten on more flights in the past month than in the past year. Long plane rides are horrible, but are worth it in the end. Speaking of travelling, I'm back in Oman to spend winter break here. There was an odd sense of comfort in coming back and knowing that nothing had really changed. It didn't really feel like I hadn't been here for the past three months because everything was normal again when I came back.
This wasn't a really exciting post, I know, but I wish you a happy new year and thank you for sticking with me through it.
See you next year,
Jinan!
